The contact switches can be opened up and the contacts cleaned. Deoxit helps. New lease of life: lasts as long as it lasts, but can be done again and again... until you break something or lose it.
The nice thing is with Logitech is if you are willing to say you tried their fixes, like dl their useless sw, etc., they are great at honoring the warranty. They will send you a new mouse, provided you have a receipt.
Bought a mouse on sale direct from Logitech and it failed after a while. Got to choose a model for full retail that was even a bit more expensive than the old one without discount. Pretty good service.
Ive had the G 502 from Logitech and I’ve never liked the way it felt with all the angles and buttons everywhere. I’m thinking about giving it to my nephew and buying a proper ergonomic mouse from them but I know I’ll miss selecting the dpi on the fly.
I love my mx master 1. Really nice, and the side scroll wheel is useful for big spreadsheets. Also the gesture control thing is useful for pausing/skipping tracks
Roccat Kone XTD? Well worth the maintenance to keep it going. Last time, I didn't bother to put the screws back under the rubber, so all I have to do is lift the top off. And since then not much went wrong! But I still have to remove the cat hair from the wheel occasionally.
