It's the same thing, though for the masses. We are territorial creatures that act irrationally and emotionally when someone tries to enter or take away our territory. It can be religion, physical stuff or boundaries, or any ideology, no matter how trivial or plain stupid. It's why things will never really get better. Just cycles of hiding it various degrees.

I've heard that people with masks are liberal, and w/o are conservative. Go figure.

Oh. During the recent SoCal fires... If you evacuate you are liberal. If you stay behind and water hose hell, you are a conservative.

Going from skin colour to a garment that covers the face, that is easily done. It happened in NL. Even in the 21st century...

Some people think that they will die if near someone without a mask. When put in a perceived life or death situation, they may resort to violence. But there’s the irony of physical contact......

Maybe they need a big wet kiss.

Perhaps the only good thing about HIV/AIDS was that people could, ever after, walk into a shop and buy condoms. Embarrassment gone. Although, come to think of it, I never tried walking down the street wearing one.
