    I do feel like the Tungsram's calm the HD600 down a bit, which leads to longer listening sessions. That being said, the SW51+ with the stock tubes and HD600 is a head-bobbing machine.

    Good to hear. The 600 has replaced the 650 as a daily driver for me and have the SW incoming. I've been worried about the synergy with the 600.

    sw51 definitely synergizes with the HD600, its just more of a "accentuates its strengths" rather than "balances its weaknesses" sort of pairing, imo.

    Funny you should say that. I've always treated synergy as balancing out components...brighter amp for a 650, etc. Lately, though, I've been going the other way and leaning into a headphone's traits like you say. The 600s are currently tied to my "brighter" amp and the 650s with the darker.
