I have huge hands and can't comfortably text on a phone that's any smaller than the Essential phone, thumbs always overreach lol.

I have normal hands but didn't get a smartphone till late thirties. The bigger the better screen for these clumsy untrained fingers.

Maybe give it a week or two. How do you like the 12 mini other than being a bit too big? I'm thinking about upgrading from the iPhone 6, and the 12 mini seemed like a logical choice

Other aspects are nice. Cameras quite a bit better but OMFG the protruding bump is lame. Screen is great. Resolution mind blowing. The more accurate color rendition will take some getting used to but is welcome. Notch doesn’t bother me at all. Love the rounded corners on the display. I miss the physical home button. If the chamfers on the back of the case were a bit bigger it would be more comfortable.

Without a home button, I cannot consider any phone. It is essential.

With my Samsung S10+, I thought I could not live without a Home button. Apparently I can. Just swipe. Face recognition. Although it does not work with a mask or for your high security types.

No evidence Apple will go smaller than 5.4” anytime before 2023, and even then it seems doubtful.

The next phone I have, will have a home/main menu (remember Symbian?) button and I will turn off face-recognition if possible. Too much hassle for me. Too many features at the cost of convenience in recent years...
