Two tennis balls cut in half. Cheap. But does it actually do anything? I don't know.

What tells you that you /need/ isolation? A hell of a lot of audio money gets thrown at problems that didn't exist in the first place. Waste.

It's mainly surface noise floor when I am running a record. My TT currently sits on a cheap 15$ Ikea table. The floor also has a heater unit, which is usually more active during the night. TBH not really sure if the noise floor is an electrical issue or comes from various vibrations.

I've had way better luck mass loading my table and rack than trying to isolate.

@famish99 How would I go about mass loading? Is it TT specific. I have a VPI prime scout.

Get a heavier rack, buy heavy plates of metal or granite (think inch thick).

Proper isolation for a turntable really needs a proper isolation table. probably not cheap, but when I last met one, it hadn't cost its owner anything like what I expected.

I don't know how we we managed when we used to dance like a herd of rhino to the turntable. Well, ok, I do: its shelf was screwed to the *wall* and was thus isolated from the the wooden floor.

Turntables should just not be so much bother. You're supposed to be able to enjoy the music. If not... Duh!

What kind of noise are you getting? Is it properly earthed? Try running an earth line to something separate. I used to earth mine to the gas pipe.

I think i need to understand this earthing part is bit more. In terms of noise I have 2 problems
    1. Radio signal pollution
    2. Surface noise when I play a record. I low hum, that bothers me a lot on the quiet tracks.

@Thad E Ginathom How can we make sure that everything is properly earthed? For now I have connected my TT, phono and amp to all different wall outlets directly.

I have also connected a ground wire between my TT and phono pre as there is option to do so. There is no grounding post on the amp though.

One thing that I did notice is when I touch my phono the noise floor does drop a little.

lol your TT trouble just sound like vinyl might not be for you. Tis the life of madness we live in the world of analog.

This is what I mean when I say that listening to music just should not be that much hard work. If it is, you are using oversensitive kit, there is a setup problem or... as @famish99 says, maybe you should be listening to digital

... I'm not the one for detailed TT advice: mine has been in the cupboard for a decade. But before that were decades of childhood shellac followed by vinyl. The only major problem I ever had was hum, which I fixed by earthing the TT/Amp to house metal pipework. Just connecting those earth tags together was not enough

But I was fixing loud hum. Not any subtle audiophile stuff. And I never had any "posh" turntable: just a modest not-famous Dual model.

I'm confused by your use of "noise floor." I think you just mean "noise?"

... There's something called an earth loop. Can't explain, but I expect google can, but I do know that it is notorious for causing audio hum. Check that out.

Also, try connecting all that kit to one socket. They may be on the same circuit anyway --- or you may be introducing some voltage difference earth to earth that could be a problem.

If things change when you touch stuff, I think that really points to earthing. But I'm no electrician.

Old houses in England used to have pipes for gas fires in every room. Maybe you have central heating radiator pipes? All conductive pipes should be earth-bonded. Try taking a wire to something like that if you can. It solved a problem for me once.

Stupid question... I suppose at least one of those devices you have linked the earth tags on /has/ a three-pin connection? Used to be a given... but my current integrated amp, which is not that young, has only two pins.
