Doesn't feel like I got my money's worth, the sound is very average from a consumer headphone perspective.. My girlfriend wasn't so impressed either.
I sat working the whole day with no music and just the NC on so its basically an expensive set of airplane-runway-ear-protector-headphones (or whatever they are called)
I mean, its not bad. Its decent. I just felt very underwhelmed with it, even though its been a couple years since I've used headphones. I only use my JVC FDX1 now, and it had been a few days since I used them when I got the Bose but I still didn't feel like I was gaining any headstage, or anything sound related really.
I didn't bother switching between the two when I decided not to keep them, because I knew the Bose wouldn't stand a chance. I'm the type of person that would accept a bit of discomfort or extra effort to get good sound (I guess that's why I listen to Vinyl too). So I don't mind using my wired IEMs for work and having to take them out 20 times a day than keep the Boses
Having said that, the Boses are comfortable, they cancel noise well, I like the touch controls and so on. If you've got the use case and need the NC/wireless I wouldn't tell you to turn them down (the Sony XM3 was just boomy and uncomfortable).
