There's a certain magic at hearing music appear seemingly out of nothing in the air around you. And feeling it if you've got good woofers.

I just can't seem to find speakers that fit my head though. The pad material leaves a lot to be desired too.

@Elnrik, I understand that Stax claim that they have something for you: Earspeakers!

LOL, that must be better than strapping two Martin Logan's to your noggin. The juice running through those stators will blow your mind! Uh, not that I know from personal experience. :P

I had a brief experience, courtesy of @Koth Ganesh, at a meet. I certainly enjoyed it.

I was a speakers guy to begin with. Had headphones forced on me by marriage.

I use both as appropriate. When wishing private listening headphones reign supreme. When I can rock out there is nothing like having Meyer Sound speakers and Bag End subs to make the neighborhood take notice. Then there is work mode for which studio monitors are most userful.

@atomicbob I used to be about 90% headphones - at any time of day. Now, I'll use headphones for work and when being loud isn't appropriate!
