Seems more for bling than anything. Elrog tubes blow up in his design.

I had never herd of Elrog. They look hot.

Just my idea of things, a high roller should know all the different element of an amp/component especially with tubes to avoid being screwed intentionally or otherwise. Elrog tubes need ventilation at the bottom, Thomas changed the design of 211/845 to account for such half inserted designs. His ultracapacitors PSU looks cool, I didn't care for an ultracap psu myself.

It’s easy to look at a piece and judge the “build quality” in terms of components, even board layout, etc. hard to know how the topology sounds
