Very very curious, given that MHA150 was one of the best SS amps I have heard. Looking at the price of the MHA200 though, I am concerned if they made too many compromises to get to $2500.

How bad is the price?

I'm an engineering pleb, but with sensitivity of (1Vrms RCA and 2Vrms XLR) and voltage gain ranging from 12dB to 25dB, how would anyone have any play on the volume knob?

$2500, not as bad as i thought. I like the classic mcintosh design.

Not that McIntosh doesn't deserve the ORFAS jokes, this doesn't seem like an ORFAS amp IMHO.

Fair. The price is surprising, and I dig the Frankenstein aesthetics. The joke was more for the gain if Zonto's calcs are correct. Just reminded me of Axpona rooms where the music was so loud my ears were ringing. A whole room full of guys who didn't mind.

Damn, I loved the hell out of the MHA150 and the MHA200 is half the price and balanced.
