It's good to be skeptical about such things but I have all sorts of noise issues and dirty power at home. Hopefully it helps, can't beat basically free!

A fool and his points are soon parted. Seriously though, please don't! Get something that will bring more joy and payback for that kind of money. If you really have noise issues tackle them one by one.

@bixby I've accrued 'points' for audioquest products by selling certain gear for Upscale. I can't spend them anywhere other than AQ. I wouldn't spend out of pocket for something like this (for real, that's more money than in my whole chain). It's not like it'd be better spent on interconnects.

I’d be interested to hear your impressions, other than the obvious noise issues you’re having (which I would hope it would at least solve). I’ve considered trying one of the cheaper ones for just my digital front end and preamp in my 2 channel system.

I suppose you have a point, that is a shit load of points, If you have a vinyl setup, I would be look at their carts, very good compared to the rest of their stuff.

@bixby have you had a Niagara product in your system?

nope, just enough power conditioners over 40 years including pricey ones to know what they can and cannot do. I still use several to this day, yet none that any amp would plug into.

I wish Lyra carts were an option for points but alas, just the core AQ catalog. I have enough points I could probably swing a Kleos if it was an option, but it isn't.

Do it! Designer is formerly of Furman, and I've read good things about the Niagara line. I like Shunyata myself, but have never compared a Niagara or the AQ power cables (because I don't like the idea of the connected batteries).

I first read that as you were considering a Nagra and thought wow, really serious about location recording.

^ I've worked with Nagra field recorders before, they are beautifully built! Been a long time since I've been on a set, used to do a lot more location sound for film/web a few years ago before I branched off to where I am now. Miss it.

Man, I forgot to cash in on my Nordost and AudioQuest points before I left TSAV now that I think about it. Niagara stuff is pretty nice.

Did you get your Niagara 3000? Would be very interested in your findings. Not happy with the 1200 so far in my system.
