The 2nd shot was quite miserable for me. Low grade fever, muscle pain, headache, etc... But it cleared up like nothing happened after 48 hours.

Congrats! Side effects after the first dose are fairly rare unless you've already had Covid. Happens, but, as others have said, the 2nd dose is the "fun" one.

@Bill-P : thank-you for the first-hand information. I get my second tomorrow and am wondering how to plan the following 48 hrs. How soon did the side effects onset?

@atomicbob: it started about 8 or so hours after the shot, I think. I was feeling fine one moment and then the headache started the next. I've heard it's not the same for everyone, but I guess my immune system just really overreacted.

First shot +10 hours: felt awful for 24 hours.

Looking forward to second shot. See what happens.
