I'm now adding a conditional statement of low Z because Jotunheim 2 had clear advantages to drive Verite (doubtlessly) and 650K (to less extent). However, preferential inequality flips when it comes to Clear Mg and LCD-X.
I continue to find it interesting that our findings are so far apart. Erish is just ok. Pretty dull. Separately: Hated Jnog, hated Modius. Enog Pro 2 was pretty good! But you seem to prefer smoothed over and I prefer realistic
Yup interestingly different! Also probably we have very different thoughts on audio realism and other metrics.
Another observation. I found sw51 was duller and murkier than Erish (based on your description, you would view oppositely no?). To me Erish is snappier and better extending on both ends (these two struggles made me stay away from sw51).
I think we need to do a loaner tour of Erish and SW51+, not that they're anything alike, but it might help you to see that you just like neutral sound? Maybe?
I think I mainly used the stock ones. I got another pair of tubes from the owner, but just heard a couple of times before returning the unit. I generally stick to stock tubes for loaners as I believe they were chosen to sound in a specific way designer/developer/builder intended.
