Thanksgiving 1998 in the Mountain Top Surf Club, Choteau MT ("Clinton slept here, but not with me"): somebody had taken out the critical power pole so the bar was run off a generator on the owner's truck. Couple of outages but otherwise an excellent night featuring great pizza, locals vs visiting hunters vs college kids back home from Missoula and a cowboy one-man band playing Beatles songs in waltz time. Good times!

Hopefully next year. Who knows though. Dream is to go and just go around the country and eat (good) food for a month. Ideally I'd even take some cooking lessons but I don't think I can get fluent enough in 1 year.

I think their redundant backups were compromised and bots were mining data or something like that, so they had to shut some stuff

@Azimuth, I think it was far less competent than that.

We have discovered that three different public-facing-products all ran on the same system. We then heard that even stuff like office-door security locks were affected because they ran on the same system too. Who designs systems like that? Competent IT folk? Or... Just my hunch... a megalomaniac boss who is not as clever as he thinks.

        2) Also, the "sand" component of it is now sticks to everything but doesn't feel sticky. I looked down and my fingers were black from it filling in my fingerprints (it's that fine of a sand). Used petroleum jelly as a release agent before it could really set on my hands and still took 1.5 hours to scrub out. Made a mess of my project too.

To top it all off, despite it sticking to my hands and everything I didn't want it ti stick to, once the object I actually wanted to make cured, it wasn't as sticky as regular Sugru. In short, an inferior result.

But yes, going to start keeping it in the fridge, and even then, once it hits expiry, I'm tossing it. $4 for a single small packet is expensive, but I value 3 hours of clean up more than $4.

Haha, yes, I tend to be understated online to mitigate how things escalate.

The issue is much broader than those calling for change, too many are interested in keeping a portion of the population ignorant and/or "skeptical" so they can continue on as usual.

I just say it out for a cheap laugh. It seems the population growth is exploding everywhere here. You can tell by the pop up of new mattress stores here in every other shopping center. It is actually quite a fun city with plenty to do, it is just because of growth the housing prices keep going up and traffic seems to get worse and worse.
