    Other benefit of current production is it should be easier to find when it needs replacing in the future. Considering my ACME lasted a little over a year I'm ready to try something else.

    I'm curious how did it fail, start-up or while running? Linlai's are former Psvane employees so I'd expect the same or better with the E permalloy series.

    I think I jumped to an incorrect conclusion. At some point after being on for an hour or so, the left channel made some really loud popping noises and then turned to static. Turning the amp off and on again corrected the issue (and I used that chance to change the 2a3 tubes) but it happened again.

    Changed the input and rectifier tubes and then it did not happen. Will test a few more times to try and narrow the issue to a specific tube or the amp.
