One of my friends, owns a T1E and the amp module failed on him once. Vanatoo shipped him a new module and asked him to ship the faulty one back. He speaks highly of the speakers as well as the company.
T0 owner since 2018 or so as well. Great audio purchase and very happy with them for the $. PC use only though. Had 3 issues though:
1. Remote was DOA but I didn't realize it until 1 year later - Vanatook care of me anyways despite being out of warranty. Good service the whole time too.
2. Volume knob used to have a bigger useable range ... (char limit)
2 cont. One day in late 2019 without changing any settings volume knob became super sensitive and I have very little useable range towards the low end now.
3. May be related to 2, but sometimes the power plug itself go a little loose overtime. If I wiggle it around in the back and "make better contact" - it gets much louder.
W/ all of this being said, if I could go back and do it again, I absolutely would.
I usually use mine at arms length, but the few times I've used them at ~6-8ft they've been sufficient for quieter listening.
Also, just my own opinion, you will most likely want a sub with adjustable bass. T0 Instructions say the T0 DAC (built in) will set bass crossover and quantity automatically, but I think it was a bit much in terms of quantity. T0 didn't work as well with software level adjustments.
I've been using T1Es for a... couple years(?) now for the TV. Have a connection issue between the two which is either down to the cables (I have tried two cables, bought an extra a while back) or the sockets. The guy I was speaking with at Vanatoo claims it's a cable issue, said he would send another then ghosted me. I sent a follow up email 3-6 months ago, no reply.
Thanks guys, I won't be using a sub, I just want to be able to hear dialog without any crispy bits or too recessed or veiled mids. Sounds like I will be keeping an eye out for a used pair of either.
