@YMO NYD been a big deal (more than just getting sf'd) for the ethnic Asian side of my clan. I always looked forward to good food, fireworks, and family gathering at New Year's.

@Sqveak, I always used to tell people, "Very good is good enough." I don't say it anymore, but I've stuck to it. Though I confess that my standard of "very good" has changed over the years. Still, I refuse to go searching for that last 18.75%.

@Sqveak @Claritas My suspicion is that my wife is sensitive to a particular freq range. Back-up system is much less detailed and resolving. My younger son prefers the primary system, and he has musician ears. :-)

When I've bought speaker wire in the past, it was usually packaged as two pairs. I only ordered one pair for my sub... duh...

A few general observations: A plush (e.g., leather) headband is a
necessity. Wood housings are a real step up. Wider-spaced mesh is somewhat helpful. Whatever you decide, I hope it works out for you.

I found the goldpoint to be a noticeable step down from the built in volume control of the wavedream. the icOn4 AVC was actually very close, different in some ways but overall at a similar level. Ive not heard a Khozmo though

I notice very subtle differences between my Goldpoint, Soekris Digital and the MHA100 depending on usage and gain management. If I stay in the 'sweet spot' (ie: reducing impact of cable capacitance for the GoldPoint, minimal digital attenuation for Soekris, and MHA100 topping out at 60% for max volume) they are all excellent.

that is how it eventually went with the 1918 flu pandemic. Re: vaccine efficacy - the proof is in the pudding. I know so many doctors and they are all seeing the same thing - yes, the vaccinated can get it but the people dying and in the hospitals are overwhelmingly unvaccinated.
