@Syzygy Yes... but I do miss my deep LF rumble a bit and when I crank it hard I do notice that 5k flare-up a tad. I preferred this variant of the same driver/design: https://i.imgur.com/cTCMf8M.png This one is somehow mellower despite seeming to have more upper mids and top octave presence. It's absolutely wild the range you can get with different tweaks to damping and venting. Collect em all :)

But the sub-bass :(

@Lyander My thoughts exactly, thankfully I can easily retune the same driver/enclosure for + 8dB at 40hz relative to 1k. Just wanted to challenge myself for dead flat. Flat isn't fun though :p

For the record I was taking the piss a bit, sub-bass is fun but for a lot of music it can actually have deleterious effects (which is why I love the HD600). Still kicking myself I can't get on ETA yet but lockdown's getting worse here again. Headdesk.

might be anti-audiophile of me but I would much rather lose 5dB of top octave than 5dB of bottom octave. I'm a basshead and everyone knows it. Whoops.
