I have actually walked around outside to check if the music could be heard. It couldn't. But, due to wife, it's mostly headphones now anyway.

My wife complains when I'm using headphones and I can't hear her yelling from the other side of the apartment.

Mine stands in front of me mouthing until I take them off. Then 9x/10 says "don't worry, it's not important."
