@Skyline, @Lou Casadonte, condolences, guys. It's not loosing an animal, it's loosing a friend, loosing a family member. So sad.
My late mum would always say she couldn't stand the loss and would never get another dog. And she usually lasted about a week before there was another puppy in the house. And later in life, when she feared that she would outlive a pup, it would be an older rescue dog.
Haha, yeah Thad, I can relate to your mom. We've lost both of ours in the past two years and plan to take a nice long break to reset emotionally before getting another. But, I have to admit that I'm already casually looking around at adoption sites here and there.
