Looking into some AliExpress stuff but primarily concerned for waterfastness and how willing distros are gonna be if/when something goes awry. Not using my own money so can write off the expense for something more serviceable, hah. Family seems particular to smartphone integration which I guess makes sense

Semantically incorrect but yeah, just something to keep tabs on goings on around property since this is around the time of year when shiz goes down, pandemic be damned. Saw Wyze recommended a fair bit, easy to implement?

we use Arlo cams inside and out. IOS ap to monitor.

Wyze is really easy to set up and the app makes it easy to get the settings you want.

@pavi not sure if you caught this but apparently Ubiquiti had a bit of a massive breach earlier this year. just caught wind of it now and hope things are battened down tight for you.

i saw that… i think my network is safe, but i’m all for a healthy paranoia where network security is concerned
