You can do it man. I made the transition from Android a few years back. Why did you go with Apple and what device? iPhone?

It's horrible from a workflow perspective. Good luck.

First Apple Product/Iphone. I wanted to try something other than Samsung. Pixel 6 Pro was good on the software end, but I really don't trust in their hardware on the screen, the chip, the modem, battery, and I don't want my phone to be more than a phone. Maybe I'll get a pixel 7 if its insufferable. Just wanted something all around that just works.

@zerodeefex I feel you man....the notification system and just like closing apps/multitasking is unintuitive after being a lifelong android user. If I can't get used to it, I'll just return it or just trade it in for a future Samsung or Future Pixel, when they actually catchup with hardware.

Apple is the master of hardware, Google is the master of software. Also when a flagship android phone decides to stop using those useless curved screens I will return

It’s a pretty big and uncomfortable change TBH. But I’m good with it now, a lot of it is just getting used to the various gestures and controls. I do find iOS less powerful and configurable overall though. Less controls for the masses that don’t know what they’re doing, but also less power and configurability for those that do.

I like the privacy and I don’t care for customization. iOS is pretty easy to use overall. Android isn’t that different other than notifications tbh and all these smart features that invade your data/privacy

Exactly why I switched as well. f**k Google’s spy machine.

I made the switch about six months ago. I still look for settings within apps instead of in the settings app. Also iOS spellcheck and keyboard suck. But overall not that different.

I was an android user for 8 years. Primarily Nexus phones and then a OnePlus in the end. Switch 3 months ago to iPhone 12. Learning a new UI took a few weeks to find everything I wanted to use, but it’s largely the same thing, with a new skin. Honestly didn’t even notice notifications were different. Biggest lose for me was Google Assistant, but I gained in a few areas as well.

@jnak you can use third party keyboards on the iPhone. I felt I always had to on Android because I couldn't stand the stock keyboard but never had that issue with iPhone.
