Been there done that, a few months into the AirPods you'll start drooling over high end sound, the mind is a fickle mistress. Still, a break once in a while is a good thing.
I think the trick is to just take your distance for a while, do something else. Focus on the music and not the gear. Stop reading the forums and reviews etc. Take a break.
I get a lot of use out of my AirPods Max, but can't see it replacing a good chain. That'd be a really hard transition, knowing how good music can sound.
Pack it all up in boxes and stick in the closet and try doing without it. If you end up unpacking and playing with it again in two weeks, don't sell it.
