I have not watched the race yet, sounds like it was dramatic just like the rest of the season. All due respect to Lewis, but I'm happy to see a team other than Mercedes take the title for a change.
I lost interest when races turned into processions during the Schumacher years. I'd been thinking of getting back into it this season since there's actually some racing these days, and somehow drivers manage to overtake their opponents. But bureaucratic nonsense likes this puts me off.
I just hate seeing races decided by Fuhrer Masi instead of.....racing. Absolute nonsense. I'm probably going to go back to watching qualifying sessions only at this rate
Furious about this. Masi is an absolute deer in the headlights on these calls. Guy is temperamentally unfit for the job. Bodes poorly if the FIA lets him keep his head.
Agreed, and I have only a passing interest in F1 (because of the dramatics this year, mostly). Just in this race, neither the leaving the track incident or the end of race situation were all that difficult to handle - just needed clear communication. It was lacking. Fair play to Red Bull to play the situation right but no race should come down to that, especially not one this crucial.
Yeah when Alonso calls you out explicitly, you have an issue. If anything I'm a Masi anti-fan and unless he proves he can clean up his act I consider all seasons under his "jurisdiction" a farce.
