I have always been a speaker guy. A ski jumper once was asked whether he could explain the difference between ski jumping and ski flying (travelling around double the distance airborne) he said that if ski jumping was like snogging ski flying was like real sex, don‘t won’t to offend people but the difference between listening to music through head phones and speakers for me is quite similar
I guess I haven't heard good enough speakers yet. Also, don't have the time/energy for room treatment and I'm very limited in loudness due to thin walls in my apartment building. One of these days ...
I just want to say I don't look down on people's way of enjoying music (except BA guys, f**k your heresy) and I don't want to be seen as speakers elitist, I myself didn't finish my speakers setup and most of my play time currently on IEMs, not even headphones. It's just I find the comparison is ridiculous.
Neither do I. I just started with speakers and my tinnitus does not allow me the use of headphones and yes some people find our living room spooky because of the acoustics and the absorbers
