Premature headphone only impressions: improved blackground, which was unexpected via Yggdrasil A2. Noticeably smoother treble, slightly wider stage, improved micro-dynamics. Caveat! Not night and day better than stock Meanwell PSU... more like ekeing out that next 10% of refinement.
How much was it (edit: realizing that may be confidential)? How long has it been hooked up before the above listening impressions?
I've read mixed reviews of the iFi supplies in the past. Was wondering one for my D-Link gigabit switch behind the TV stand, but decided not to pick one up.
I paid normal asking price, which is a bit much considering the cost of the Pi2AES. Anyhow, it's been in for a day or so, and all impressions are early - but warm-up didn't seem to be much of a factor. Initial A/B testing between the SR1A and Clears with familiar tracks pissed me off - because I noticed the improvement without much effort, especially in the treble. Don't want to stoke nervo$$a, but I'm happy so far.
