Newer (not latest release year but sth I didn't experience before lol) rather than better .. as long as acceptably good. Also I do want headstage > resolution (as long as acceptably resolving). Oh, definitely moar and moar comfort!! (as long as very good elsewhere)

I think SBAF is mainly concerned with good sound for a given amount of money. It's not a race to the bottom for value or race to top for perfection, but whether or not the price asked is worth paying, and if so, under what conditions.

I'm a resolution whore. That being said, I reached a point where I felt two things: diminishing returns were very high, and honestly I was extremely happy with what I was hearing. So I stopped.

Good sound eternally in service of enjoyment of music. Better is only better if it is actually more enjoyable, not if it is just a technicality. I don't mind going 'backwards' for the right reasons.

I agree @Cellist88 ! I’m having trouble finding new music it’s very frustrating.
