I think that high gain on the Jot 2 really suits the 2541 well. On the BF and the LIM it just pushes everything against the glass too much.

Ahaha. Yah. I think it is a panic move on my part. Ultimately what I really want is another LIM, but it's not practical. I think the 2541 is starting to develop here/ I'm learning it with my current chain. 60hrs and it sounds much better. I aspire to calm the f**k down and keep it :-)

Maybe an LIM version of the BF2 will come along at some point (perhaps even as a board upgrade, who knows). Or a Gungnir Multibit LIM.

Have you heard the Yggdrasil A2 or Gungnir Multibit A2?

When I initially reviewed the 2541 on my speaker system at home, I commented that I wished for a cross between the BF2 and the 2541. That really is the LIM. When I spent time with it in my office a few weeks ago, I just fell in love with it here. It's highly impractical space wise and cost-wise, though. Here's hoping for a LIM Gungnir.

Not the Yggdrasil, but I had a Gungnir A2 for a short while years ago and ran it against a Holo Spring. I chose the Spring then - but my tastes are more focused now. That was my other thought - to pick up a used Yggdrasil A2 or GS.

There it is. 72hrs and the 2541 is emerging as a champion neutral DAC. It now sounds dynamic, nuanced and substantial. The sense of flow is pretty great.

So CAM for sale ad deleted (for now at least)?

Yes. I just turned it off. I had two offers at my price this morning. I'm going to live with it and await the LIM Gungnir :-) What are you running there @rlow ?
