Not just FR! One headphone measures with a -10dB downslope from bass to highs with lower distortion and cleaner csd than another headphone with a +5db upslope, more distortion and a few csd ridges. The upsloping one sounds warmer, thicker, smoother and bassier. Why?
The only guess I have is that my ears themselves are somehow reacting to the stark differences between them both in terms of sonics and design traits. Grey area... Some kind of fatigue response?
