What speakers are you going to be driving? I seem to remember you had some Tektons at one point right? Really sensitive speakers, so just curious why the upgrade to Tyr?
Yes, still have the Tekton Moabs. Currently powered by Aegir monoblocks - and it's really a fantastic pairing. Otherwise, I think the Moabs aren't as sensitive as advertised, and other owners attest to how well they scale with MOAR quality power, especially w/ dynamics and low end.
Wife wishes I could just sit content, but I'm really curious about eeking out whatever potential remains in the Moabs, which I don't plan on moving on from anytime soon. Will definitely post comparison impressions.
Very excited to hear what you think, especially if you feel they are more dynamic and have better low end. Those were the two aspects lacking with Aegir with my nearfield LS3/5a setup, despite them having the most seductive vocals of anything I have tried. Would be wild for me to pump dual Tyr power into these little monitors, but I have to admit I would be curious to try it.
