Try to use a credit card and treat it as a debit card for usage.

So if you want to be simple just use a flat 2% cash back and call it a day.

I don't think I would use a debit card for any non-in-person transaction.

The debit card has become a 2FA routine with all the text alerts I have to answer when I use it. Not worth the hassle.

I'm in with a 2% miles card for most of our day-to-day (backdoor way of saving for a vacation).

Knowing what the fees are, I don't want to plunk down a credit card for my $3 coffee and small pastry at my local establishment. Back to carrying around some petty cash for those things.

Agreed on small coffee purchases, cash is better. But I don't mind using cards on major companies stuff like Dunkin. It's the small mom/pop shops that I prefer cash.

@Qildail now thinking about it, how about using your debit card as an ATM card for cash withdraws? That's how I been using mine. I use my Credit Union's Co-Op ATM Network, which gives me better ATM locations than the big banks. I normally carry $40-$60 on me. Only time Socialism works IMO.

@YMO Yep; that's pretty much the direction I'm heading. Use the card for the ATM, then put it back in the home wallet.

Thanks for the tips and hints, gang.
