Saw J2C and GN report on it, wondering how bad Nvidia has to be as a partner to make EVGA want to nix relations. Doesn't seem they're keen on going Intel or AMD either.
Entirely leaving the business might well be better than being forced by Nvidia to eat the fallout from the cryptomining collapse so they don't have to do it themselves.
BRB, going to buy a bunch of EVGA graphics cards and sell as collector items. Crazy that a company literally named Extreme Video Graphics Adapters is leaving the game. In all seriousness, this sucks, I wanted a 4070 from them.
@Justin S Reports are that EVGA is holding onto a fair bit of stock to ensure they'll be able to deal with RMAs and the like. Something about how they reserved enough as informed by models developed from historical precedents.
