Black ground is insane on this thing. Made me reevaluate quite a few records I wanted to upgrade. Don't care about dip switches and adjustments, I'll just buy their SUT next if I need MC.

How are some phono stages able to suppress pops and ticks? I'm genuinely curious. What aspect of the design does this?

Well I won't pretend to understand it all but zero negative feedback, no opamps fully discrete design and other things. There's a lot of info on their site.

Did you order your unit with standard gain and loading settings? Did you get any additional upgrades, like RCA jacks or mono switch? I’m on the verge of ordering one.

Standard gain and load. 47 and 100. If you want different, contact Keith he's great to deal with. I got a bstock unit with stock jacks right before the current board went live. When I send it in for the new stuff I might get better jacks, but the stock jacks seem as good as anything else I have.

Ironically it was 3 orders after mine I think. Maybe 2 weeks ago it went live I think. I'm so happy with it as is, if it's even better with whatever changes they made I can wait and be happy knowing that. I'd like to do it after Thanksgiving break if I can though.

Oh yeah forgot to add, at the bottom of their FAQ page is pretty frequent updates on shipping status and any changes.

Order placed. I got a B-stock MP-7. I'm very excited to hear this. I'm especially hopeful that the MP-7 will help surface noise to recede into the background. I recently picked up a Schiit Mani 2, and while the unit has many commendable traits, it's still noisier than I would like.

I liked Mani 2, much quieter than Mani 1. I wanted a bump up after having gungnir A2 on the speaker system, you can probably understand. I cheaped out with a AT-VM95ML and am super impressed between the ML stylus and MP-7 it's sooo quiet AND sounds impressive.
