Team A:

+ Gorgeous, lifelike timbre
+ Absolutely silky smooth linear tone
+- Easy to drive / amp agnostic
- Slightly mellow transients
- Stage not super deep though extremely wide and tall with good imaging

Team B:

+ Very tight, percussive transients
+ More air and stage depth with better localization
+- Scales amp differences more / more picky
- A few tracks sound weird and boxy
- Bass is slightly less extended, tone is a bit wobblier (still no peaks though)

A. Timbre rules supreme

50/50: Timbre is a big part of what ultimately kills many planars for me, but one of the few underlying traits of every headphone I've stuck with over the years is "scales well". If it scales well enough, it is enough to overcome minor weirdness on some tracks, minor extension issues, etc.

Team A for me

if you are 50/50 you own multiple headphones

Team B becomes Team A as one ages and loses hearing sensitivity.

B for opens, A for closed.

A, plus stage depth & localization. (can that even be done?)
