Yeah, among the worst movies I've ever endured. What made it worse was that the trailer had made it look like a zany, ridiculous fun action movie, not the grinding, miserable, boring drivel that it actually was.

I liked it. It had pacing issues and a bit too much "artistic" liberties, but at least it was not a preachy, CGI slugfest. Not this directors best work.

Man, it's so fascinating to see how others perceive things and how drastically different we all process information depending on taste and preference. I also really enjoyed the film.

I'd never heard of it, but I never know what's being showed. The only reviewer whose tastes are broadly like mine, Ann Hornaday of the Washington Post, wasn't impressed.

The Northman was the best film I've seen in theatres since 2019, tied with Licorice Pizza. Before that it was another Eggers, the Lighthouse.

On account of the widely differing opinions, I'm becoming interested in seeing it. Thanks y'all!
