IIRC, the Mg version was originally going to replace the Clear OG, with the latter being phased out. I think headphonesdotcom managed to convince Focal to produce another batch and sell them on discount. I guess they're now just selling off the remaining units.

In other words, I think you got a great deal. You might want to get a spare set of pads if the OG does indeed get discontinued now.

Still one of the best that Focal produces/produced. And at clearance price it’s a better value than before…probably would go great with the Piety.

I dig the Clear as I did the Elear. The problem really is pad availability.

I could clarify the situation a bit, headphones.com purchased the last production run of Clears and Clear Pads, we had the price drop on the OG Clears right after the Clear MG launched, maybe a month later if memory serves me.

Projections for us is that we should have stock at least till the end of this year.

Clear Pads I got a ton of them to last for a while in contrast, please buy them otherwise I going to fill a pool of Clear pads and diving in like Scrooge McDuck

Make sure to buy Elex pads every time they pop up on Drop. A fair compromise usually.

I bought two sets of Clear pads. At the rate they go that should last me to... February, maybe.
