Both have wonk frequency response but T50RP’s is the lesser of two evils.

LCDX out resolves but is let down by disappointingly sleepy (overdamped?) bass. T50RP (bass) is again the lesser of two evils.

I have Dekoni velour pads inbound which I think will improve overall but concerned will lose some “slam” due to losing tactile nature of non-porous leather pads.

By tactile “slam” Im referring to possibly reverb and pressurization.

Interesting. Was this through the Piety? And/or another amp? When I've heard LCD-X, I've found them admirably natural. But, then, I prefer the classic Audeze sound, the prince of darkness, bass specialist, not even remotely neutral sound....

I also much prefer my LCD-F through powerful SS amps. Typically, the BHA-1.

Right. I think I read that post earlier today and thought... wonder if could use a beefier amp. My LCD-F is also plenty sensitive, but it still seems to prefer more power behind it, especially for the best response. FWIW.

I prefer warm and dark, not neutral. T50RP is closer to that.
