Much bigger improvement than installing a dedicated circuit. Had mainly been headphone listening and liked improvements with the ZDS, finally trying my LM805ia with blizzard cable+whole chain into the 1200 today and am feeling astonished. Speakers stage is bigger and deeper than I have ever heard, better separation, blacker background, more dynamic without changing overall tonality or being fatiguing.

I didn't want to be one of these people...I really wanted to be a passive solutions is best when it comes to power, but can't deny being blown away by what I am hearing. Very significant upgrade (as impactful as tubes, more so than cables). Very impressed by how much more dynamic it sounds but with superb ease to the sound, listening louder than usual because it is so dang fun.

Nothing wrong experimenting with power conditioners! We did a power conditioner shootout at two of my friend's places not so long ago: AQ Niagara 3000 vs Niagara 1200 vs Furman AC-210. What's funny, we pretty much agreed the picking order to be following: Niagara 3000, AC-210, Niagara 1200 (minimal difference vs no conditioner).

AQ Niagara 3000 and Furman had better blackground and cleaner sound. The difference between AQ 3000 and Furman was smaller than the difference between Furman and AQ 1200. Compared against the Furman the AQ 3000 seemed to have slightly more polished & sparkling treble, while also maintaining better dynamics.

I personally have three Furman AC-210's, they represent really good bang for the buck. Like the name says, AQ 3000 costs north of three grands, way too much for me...

@Collusion funny you mention that...I have a 3000 arriving today. 1200 brought enough improvements that I was curious and I scored a solid used deal. Should be arriving any minutes...now just to wrangle these thick power cables and wrestle the 3000 into my rack.

What the hell, you guys were right and I’m annoyed. i borrowed a furman ac210 from a guitarist friend and plugged it in.. It definitely sounds more effortless, perhaps cleaner and imaging has improved too. I’m annoyed because I now have to buy one at some point
