I'm gonna just save up, and like my very wise momma says "buy once, cry once" instead of hopscotching amps. I want that wet, slammy, macrodynamically swingin' amp—even if it's just an entry level DNA.

Please tell me if I'm missing something here. Or if I should shoot higher and go for Stratus instead. A compelling reason why.

MEMS. It's plausible that very soon all current endgame amps and headphones are leapfrogged by cheaper, lighter, more efficient etc MEMS speaker technology. Wait and see.

Putting it another way, the 'endgame' concept is only there because audio technological progress has been so very slow. There's no endgame concept when there's rapid progress - think phones or TVs or cars.. Just 'best for right now'. Audio may join that rapid progress list soon.

But, money is definitely an endgame limiter! Right now I'm skint, so it's a diet of Gungnir > Piety for the time being. I'm happy with what I have, so if I don't get a Starlett for a year, I'll be okay.

Money isn't the end game limiter, it's the happiness with the music you listen to, not the gear.

OK, everyone sayin' Stratus is the ticket now... Guess I will have fun saving up after paying the deposit. Was gonna go used, but I think this is a good route.
