AIs are the new MBAs. Very eloquent with the presentation but lacking precise understanding of just about anything they touch. And that's not a bad thing either cause if AI were precise on a very niche topic with say n=1 data points, it would be equivalent to copying that verbatim and essentially revealing where it learned things from, which is a big data privacy nono.

And programming languages are designed for precision work, where the interpreters/compilers/semantics really are designed hand-in-hand with the syntax (some subset of English words and math notations), so GPT will never beat an interpreter at, well, interpreting code. It might still beat inexperienced programmers at many things though.

The cool part I think is that AI is even "softer" than current software, where you can ask it a question, argue with it, curse at it, etc...in any language and it will give an approximately apt response, especially in English where there's most data. If you've ever worked in customer support, translation, or writing, etc, having a 5-year-old polyglot bookworm assistant is still quite useful for certain things.

Hot swap sockets are the bomb, dozens of compatible switches from multiple companies. Started with browns, moved to halo trues (heavy, good for typing but bad for gaming), now Gateron reds.

Just gotta be careful installing them. The board I bought secondhand is also a hotswap model but some of the contacts were slightly bent when I received it. The switches still work, but knowing that the copper leaves are deformed worries me slightly.

Hot swap is cool to experiment and upgrade. You can do stuff like use different keys for the Fn row and letters.

That being said I’ve had a couple issues. I’ve had switches pop out as well as bent pins if you aren’t careful like @Lyander mentioned

When I was young, I lost 15 lbs. in 3 weeks by eating only plain roast chicken (no skin) and broccoli, and alternating daily between moderate free weights and walking (3 mi./hr). I have no idea if this would work for me in middle age. I definitely see the benefit to morale of starting with substantial weight loss. But there has to be a stage two for continuing with a healthy, normal diet.

One nice thing about the keyboard hobby is that a great deal of it can be enjoyed for cheap: modding material like PE foam or painter's tape is hardly a massive investment, and the changes borne thereof can be pretty substantial.

Then again, there's the whole group buy model and post-launch scalping, which just comes across as abhorrently anti-consumer. I refuse to pay $200 for plastic keycaps. What the hell.

https://github.com/0x192/universal-android-debloater If you want to remove bloat. Works great if you use the safe preset and it’s not permanent(just disabled) so if you brick it by using the more risky stuff you can just do a factory reset and it’s back to normal.

Would the "pure" or non-push-pull class A, 2W/32ohm of the MJ3 sound different than the push-pull class A when toggling switch to get 8W? Or is that the point?

Source: "Yes, this is a 2W/32 ohm amp. Yes, that’s all... MJ3 will also have a front panel switch so you can run push-pull Class A. And suddenly it’s an 8W/32 ohm amp."
