Been doing it since I was a teen naturally because I'm never hungry in the morning. Always been slim but still have to take care with what I eat, garbage in garbage out.
@Riotvan - I also did it as a teen by accident. I regularly missed breakfast because I had no time and often forgot my lunch. So I didn’t eat until I got home.
I didn’t really feel that tired though and tennis practice was fine also. I always thought it would have been better if I had better eating habits.
Yeah, carbs are tricky you probably had a crash and were fighting it, body doing big work digesting it. If i eat lots of carbs i plan for it cause i know i'm gonna be toast soon after. A bit of protein and other low carb stuff is fine.
When I was young, I lost 15 lbs. in 3 weeks by eating only plain roast chicken (no skin) and broccoli, and alternating daily between moderate free weights and walking (3 mi./hr). I have no idea if this would work for me in middle age. I definitely see the benefit to morale of starting with substantial weight loss. But there has to be a stage two for continuing with a healthy, normal diet.
