Was this in India? 1500 miles in 3 weeks wouldn't be that big of a deal in the US but I could see it being a lot tougher in some other countries. My favorite road trip ever with my wife was Texas>Phoenix>Las Vegas>Grand Canyon>Texas and we did about 3000 miles in a little under 2 weeks.

Yeah, I'm still in the habit of converting units back and forth. About 2500km here - once off the major highways, it's slower going. We were in foothills most of the trip to the west coast (Goa/Kerala). I'm jealous! I've never roadtripped the SW...Mostly up and down the East Coast and Cali up to Oregon after we flew across by air. I'm doing the rail next time :p and just renting bikes once I reach.

Awesome. That roadtrip to Vegas was great - for 3 nights we were staying in a nice hotel and then onto primitive camping at the GC. Quite a variety of activities! We used to drive to Phoenix a lot when my wife's sister lived there. I also drove to Santa Cruz one summer and spent a few months there. The first 800 miles or so is all in Texas.

Nice dude! This was pure beach bumming/camping, spur of the moment kind of thing. Interesting episode - One night driving, I got down to use the bathroom, friends hadn't noticed, and they took off. I was stuck in the middle of the night, with about 500 rupees, no cellphone reception, in vast farm area, where I didn't speak the local language, and about 500 miles from home. And then I sprained my ankle. :)
