I always feel ambivalent whenever seeing end-game items in one hobby are priced lower than entry/budget ones in another hobby.. Mar 22, 2024 at 4:49 PM

Day 5: Gungnir Multibit's starting to freak me out. I experienced this level of quality before, but not at this price point..

Day 3: Gungnir Multibit is still growing on me. Becoming more balanced bw technicalities and musicalities. Still somewhat artificial tho.

To Hands: Yeah, indeed considered SU1. BTW, what can be candidates for a good spidif source? I remember your d100 review (tempting but pricey..). How about more affordable d200?

I can't speak for the other Soundaware stuff. I imagine any of their digital transports are at least decent. Just make note of quirks regarding gapless playback before jumping in.

Yesterday (right out of the box) Gungnir Multibit showed me a slight hint of its capability, today it revealed much more. Starting to wow me.

Yeah, don't worry about it. When I first hooked up my Yggdrasil, I noticed drastic differences in the first few hours (voices were incredibly spitty watching the same sitcom my wife and I had been watching on NFLX). By later that evening and the next day, I didn't notice that anymore. Just the sweet bass and reverb. :)

The site has showed them as being out of stock, and not expected to ship until the week of March 17th for a while now. I know, I was looking at buy one new myself and have been waiting for them to come back into stock.

That would be disappointing. At least, with Schiit, you know it is coming. And you could communicate with them if you felt like it. I'm waiting for a GO2A. I don't have either of those options.
