CAT-5 plenum rated teflon plus decent bananas. Super easy to work with. Marv turned me onto this stuff.

I use belden 1624p. Marv apparently uses monster banana jacks. I myself use whatever I have on hand. Regular Mogami w3103 is pretty solid in my experience as well.

With regard to connectors that's personal preference. I like solder and screw together but you might want something different.

Any fancies with how you utilize the individual strands within each cable? Half for positive, half for negative? Or something more elaborate?

Their Rca interconnects are lacking a bit. Other good $30 RCA cables sound a bit better. I think if I had to do it over, I would get some nice 12 gauge twisted type cable from a decent source. I use something from VH Audio, it is his twisted pair stranded 12 gauge with 4 total legs for 9 gauge overall. Kind of overkill but not too expensive and has stood the test of time.

I need to run some network cable through my house and I might as well set aside a few feet for speaker cabling. Any reason why a Cat 6 version of this cable would be any different? Also I noticed it's a shielded cable, what do you do with the shielding?
