@ButtUglyJeff I have considered it, but Singapore/Malaysia isn't exactly a day's drive away. I was thinking more along the lines of a proper local dealer that I could demo the cans at, considering shelling out a restocking fee, while reasonable, isn't exactly a good use of money I could be putting towards building a system.

I'm familiar with the popular cans people use as a reference, which I admit is immensely useful, but I'd rather be able to demo the ZMF stuff myself and draw my own conclusions. I admit the recent drama is part of my resurgence in interest, but at the same time, the Auteurs just look perfect to me from an aesthetic perspective; if the sound impressions v HD800 align with my own, then the ZMF is a definite buy for me.

I was think more about establishing contact, express an interest in an audition, and see what happens...

Huh. Honestly, I didn't think people actually managed to pull that off without some bit of heavy clout behind them. I'm a lot more outspoken online than I am in person (unless someone talks straight up stupid then I go full asshat), so I might be a while dredging up the confidence to arrange that.

Then again, the PH audio circle is pretty deep in, so maybe I could make it a group thing so they know it's legit and that there's a better chance someone will keep em!
