Company car. I'll be in a neck brace for a week because of whiplash but other than that I seem to be fine. Welcome back by the way!

In a neck brace for a week following a collision with a power pole.. Holden Colorados and wet roads are not a good mix.

Interesting that the HD800S is $2599 in Australia and $2199 in NZ..

Hard to support Aussie retailers with such a margin against overseas sources.

It's all the shipping, taxes, duties, tariffs, etc. Likely, whatever you purchase, if bought overseas, and if it is shipped to you and has a price on it, you'll end up paying the same as the Aussie retailer after all that is added on upon import. It's much the same for us in Canada.

Put on my DT880 for the first time in a week. Immediately felt the dust cover pushing on my ears. Spoiled by deep cups and large pads now...

After a few days of listening I think I can safely say the LSR305 deserve an asking price of $1600/pair while the HD800S should cost $300.

I can come up with $300 to take the HD800S off your hands. You know, just so you don't feel like you're overcharging.

The local tracking site here also updated to the same status but the date changed to today.. I hope they didn't somehow wrongly scan it a week ago and have only actually sent it today, that would be unfortunate.

Yup I was just watching the stream. For the last 14 years or so I've been in Sydney over New Years break and I've usually watched it while over there.

PS: Main even DID NOT disappoint! Much better than last years, golden waterfall always amazes me.

I've found removing knobs and plasti dipping them or coating them with actual soft rubber works quite well.

Not sure if there is a thread about this - there should be - but I have the feeling boost is desired compared to speakers because of the pressurization/viscerality of speaker bass in room. Just a thought.

Actually, it appears this larger study brings things more in line with their loudspeaker findings. http://imgur.com/wsv6eDW Be sure to read the full presentation - they find age and level of experience are significant contributing factors. And there was no loudness control, so they wonder if some might have boosted bass and treble just to make the music louder.
