Spent a bunch of time today with my head inside a subwoofer enclosure. Still can't believe the 21" cone is machined out of an aluminum block

I suppose the speakers /work,/ or we wouldn't have got this far in the story. I'd like to see a couple of machinists and metallurgists discuss their claim that "BilletCore is not bent, stamped, stretched or woven, preventing fatigue in the material"

        Any volunteers?

There’s no free lunch. You gain extension and no distortion, but those drivers must be relatively heavy. I wonder how fast they are

Says the cone is 411 grams, so heavier than normal I think, but not too heavy.
Also even if it was perfect, its still no free lunch as it costs 50k. The cone starts out as a 66 lb piece of aluminum though

Air conditioning not broken! Just some weird light switch in the basement that needs to be on for it to work.

Having the same bout of luck with electronics here too. My step down transformer broke, followed by my Primare amplifier, within the same hour. *laughs*

Albeit that I knew there's an issue with the amplifier and I'm scheduling time to have it serviced, and the step down transformer is some cheap Taobao stuff which had been buzzing... So there were signs.

How do you like A2 Open, I've got A2 Closed an it's still tooo bassy for my tastes, but yea I've heard 95X eq's nicely too

I think A2O is EVEN bassier than the closed lol. It makes bass guitars jump to front of the mix like no other headphone I have tried. Its got a huge amount of energy in upper bass, makes everything sound really thick. I drop that region a bit with EQ most the time and I love it, most natural sounding Planar I have ever had. Very detailed and engaging to listen to.

If thinking of using a vintage integrated for headphones, something to be aware of is that the headphone jacks usually have very high output impedance (eg my Rotel - couple of years too young for you - 340 ohms). Not really an issue for your HD250s, but could be with other 'phones.

Bought from @jaker782 , came with vesper pads. So far I am liking it. I haven't had open backs in a while, so that's nice. Comfort is amazing. Nice bass too, better than the Sennheisers (which are somewhat similar to hd650). Have to do more listening. Energizer is unreasuringly light.
