That whole era of late 70s, early 80s German "Neue Deutsche Welle" is fascinating to me, and DAF is a great introduction.
Received the SW 51 --- worth the wait! *bliss*
R.I.P. Andy Gill:
I've noticed that Qobuz now has the first three Gang of Four albums available now.
Right, disable the volume control. And I have found better overall sound and performance with running moOde in 64-bit mode.
Right, by default, mConnect would have these huge delays in playing the next track. Super annoying with classical especially.
Duh - mConnect has gapless playback from the little gear icon. Tested out on Wire's Pink Flag :-)
It really is on another level compared to my prior setup. Pi2AES might be ruinous to your sleep schedule!
Right, it's kind of confusing as this isn't an I2S connection, but that's the area in MoOde that gets selected in the Audio Config -> Devices...
I ran MoOde audio 6.4 with a RPI 4 successfully with Qobuz and UpNP, but with Pi2AES, what "I2S" Audio Device do I select? HiFi Berry? Allo...
Airplay working now via amixer, but UpNP is where it’s at, using MConnect.
Using Qobuz with Raspberry Pi 4B connected to RDAC, but Bluetooth only. Airplay via shairport-sync is voodoo. Still sounds good.
Agreed, there’s some things missing, and albums where half of the tracks are samples only....
Keurig is just nasty tasting, and the plastic waste, rlow covered that. A Baratza burr grinder and an automated pour-over machine (Bonavita) are...
Just on the used market. I had missed out on screaming deals for both the Airist and Metrum Flint in the past week, so had to bite the bullet.
Pulled the trigger on the Airist R2R
So the Rega Jupiter has dual Wolfson DACs. That's why my poor Aries Mini always struggled in comparison.
Maybe it was good that the Aries Mini broke down. Rega Jupiter CDP so much smoother.
Siouxsie and the Banshees at the height of their powers with John McGeoch:
Correct, the PI2AES is a HAT or “Hardware attached on top” of a Raspberry Pi. There are HATs for all kinds of applications, but for audio, the...
This is for the PI2AES. Might pick up another one if I can figure out a Raspberry DAC.
