2016 July NY Meet impressions

I just checked Paul Carmody's website (the designer of the Overnight Sensations) and he came out with a TMM tower version of the overnight sensations last year. I'd be pretty stoked if I could hear a pair of these one day, considering how good the tiny OS MT is.

I was surprised to find the problem.
The heavy cable I used put extra pressure on the jack.
Normally this would have been a non- issue,
But it seems that the replacement HEK I have is now using plastic pieces to hold the sockets, where as before they were metal pieces.
So the slight loose fitting plastic (on one side only) made the socket move ever so slightly, but enough to have the stiff tiny wire disconnect from socket..
I fixed the whole issue myself now socket is solid and no more issues.
The original wire is of good quality though.

It could also be that the production units are using plastic where the pre-production and demo units used metal...
Not sure when the change.
My first unit was from last fall so not an old unit.
