This is probably considered jazz, but it's well-recorded and excellently performed.

The Bucky Pizzarelli Trio featuring John Pizzarelli and Ed Laub: Three for All

I'm not sure if you can listen to this anywhere without just sampling the HD Tracks stuff and buying it (I bought it).

    Give Tim Reynolds a shot.

You can start with Stream. It's probably his most forward solo acoustic album.

See Into Your Soul and Nomadic Wavelength are also excellent.

I'm also a fan of a well recorded and performed acoustic guitar. Here are a few of my go to performers.

    Luca Stricagnoli

    Raul Midon

Blue October acoustic versions (maybe not any pyrotechnics, but chilling versions none the less)

Too much reverb sometimes, but I really like all of the playing on Sun Kil Moon's Adrmiral Fell Promises.
    Here's a track on youtube

Candy Rat is the shit for acoustic guitar! Calum Graham is a favourite of mine as well as Andy and Luca.

Amazing performance from both performers (best enjoyed with video).

p.s. and +1 vote for most anything from Ottmar Liebert

p.s.s For those who use Spotify, check out the Peaceful Guitar, and Acoustic Concentration playlists under the Focus genre. Sometimes there is an amazing treat to be found.

Several good albums by guitarist Roberto Moronn PĂ©rez, in exemplary sound from Reference Recordings.

    Also on Tidal and Spotify.

Now for something different. Not a guitar but he plays it like one.

Before you ask, the audience is wearing headphones because it is a live recording session and they are listening to the mix.
