Last night I posted a list of my favorite albums of the decade. @Deep Funk asked I make this a thread, and I didn’t see one serving a similar purpose, so I figured I’d give it a shot.

So without further ado, here’s my list of the best albums of the decade (in no particular order):
Feel free to share yours. Or don’t. I’m not your supervisor.

I'm too lazy to create a top 10 list, but any list that doesn't include the following is objectively incorrect:

Carrie and Lowell - Sufjan Stevens

I wasn’t as crazy about Carrie and Lowell, but I understand I’m the only one and that there is something wrong with my brain.

I have to think about this one.

You bet Tame Impala will be there. Also expect Janelle Monea, Grimes and Florence + The Machine and Tycho (his soothing music was on high rotation).

I like your list. I also like:

    Capacity by Big Thief
Departing by The Rural Alberta Advantage
    Handwritten by The Gaslight Anthem
    High Violet by The National
Prologue by The Milk Carton Kids
Lions and Lambs EP by Communist Daughter

There are only 2 that really stand out for me.

Random Access Memories - Daft Punk. (2013)
    Fear Inoculum ~ Tool (2019)

... And maybe The Blues is Alive and Well ~ Buddy Guy (2018)

Dystopia (2016) - Megadeth. Despite some of Mustaine's cringey politics.

Ive tried to gather more my favorite artist of the decade rather then the best albums.

Four Tet- There is love in you
J mascis- several shades of why
Bon iver- tied between the Bon iver, Bon iver album or 22, a million
    Tim hecker- ravedeath 1972
radiohead- the king of limbs or A moon shaped pool
Kettel and Secede- when can. The most incredible album to listen on lsd/shrooms/mescaline
Dinosaur jr.- I bet on sky
    Voices from the lake- ST.
Bvdub-Born in tokyo. My favorite artist of the decade. impossible to pick a favorite album between his Bvdub, Earth House Hold and East of Oceans projects.
    Lusine- the waiting room
    Aphex Twin- syro
    Kettel- wingtip
Carly rae jepsen- emotion. my fav girly pop album of the decade
    Grant- cranks
    Loess- Popcosin
    American football- LP2 or LP3
nuages- moments. not sure about this one, ive just recently discovered him so most likely just a phase.
    fennesz-agora
    ross from friends- family portrait

    Hip-hop:
    Big KRIT- Krit wuz here
Kendrick- good kid maad city. Just has to be there. add his album TPAB
Capital Steeze- Amerikkkan Korruption. What a tragic story. Steeze was arguably the most impressive newcomer, raw talent, genius. He took his own life just when he was boomin. Most likely schizophrenia. the way he raps seem to come from another dimension

Nice to see Voices From the Lake here. I don't think Donato Dozzy always hits the mark but VFTL and his 2010 solo record, K, would make my list for sure. Speaking of which, I'll try to get on that ...
